Setup in 2014, MAS Legato, with the vision of “being the most respected brand in financial outsourcing solutions” is the Financial Shared Services center of Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate, MAS Holdings.
Legato, a term used in music, indicates notes are played in a smooth flowing manner without any breaks, denotes the company’s objective of ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Currently MAS Legato supports 67 operational locations based in 10+ countries in areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & General Ledger. The company is setup to initially handle transactions of the MAS Group with the final goal of being a fully-fledged BPO whereby offering its services to other non-MAS companies.
MAS Legato was awarded the Winner for “Best Process Improvement and Innovation “at the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON) Australasian Excellence Awards 2016 held in Melbourne, Australia.
The Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) is the largest and most established community of shared services and outsourcing professionals in the world, with over 100,000 members. Established in 1999 to create a forum for practitioners to connect with each other on a regional and global basis.
SSON’s annual Shared Services Excellence Awards represents achievement on the highest level for shared services operations around the globe. The Excellence Awards are presented at their flagship regional events across the world and cover operations right around the globe.
There were 16 submission under the category “Best Process Improvement and Innovation” and MAS Legato beat many reputed large BPO/Shared Services entities to be adjudged the winner. The runner up in this category was the Rio Tinto – Infosys team.
